The teaching of Ganesh Del Vescovo

Ganesh Del Vescovo regularly teaches the classical guitar at all levels - from lessons for beginners, to the preparation for the Conservatory, to specialized lessons for perfection and master classes. Though he has taught master classes in the best of schools and institutions, the place where he normally teaches is in his studio in Piazzale Donatello !8, in the historical centre of the city of Florence. He also holds seminars, courses of specialisation and Master Classes on subjects such as: the technical discoveries for the classical guitar as well as for the various instruments he plays regularly (the chikari guitar, the sarod guitar, the sarod and the tabla); on special techniques of a particular method of transcription for the guitar; music for guitar ensembles.

About his teaching his says:

"I do not use any specific, fixed method. I teach according to the pupil I have in front of me. I must know and understand him in his individuality and then I teach according to both his human and technical necessities and capacities. I teach with a strict and serious approach but, at the same time, my method is "painless". I do not have any pre-established programme but always proceed according to the personal needs of the pupils. Each one of them responds to music, to sound and to the study in a different fashion. I teach in this way in order to get the very best out of the students. Each one of them has his own inner musical quality and I like to watch this coming to the surface, blooming and developing in a different way in each pupil."
